Over the past year, fourteen members of Guardian staff have been working with West Suffolk College to achieve the Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) NVQ qualification.
The training takes place on-site where each week teams of staff devise and implement Business Improvement projects which improve quality, cost and delivery for the company and in turn our customers.
The training is designed to be tailored to each individual company’s requirements, targeting specific areas within the business.
Over a nine month period Guardian implemented a total of nine improvement projects; including warehouse stocking systems and overs procedures, improvements to waste and recycling systems, layouts to the production floor, streamlining hand assembly methods and landscaping of the business premises.
